Review: Aquolina Pink Sugar Deodorant Body Spray

I wear Pink Sugar perfume often, I love it. It's probably my most complimented perfume actually - it wears really well. The scent reminds me of candy floss, cupcakes and anything yummy and sweet, it settles on the skin into more of a subtle sweet scent though. It's not in your face sweet, it's just lovely.

Anyway, with that being said lets review this body spray! It's basically a body spritz, it's not an aerosol. It smells very similar to the EDT but it obviously doesn't have the same lasting power. If you love sweet scents then go for this, you certainly won't be disappointed. It's nice and cooling to use too when it's warm.

Etsy Shop Feature: Emsy's Handcrafted Gifts

I received my order from Emsy's Handcrafted Gifts @ Etsy today and it surpassed all my expectations. This is a seriously amazing shop and I'm super impressed!

So here is my order! It's so stinking cute!!! I got a pink Star Dust Plug and a Miniature Macarons Charm in pastel colours which I've already attached to my Kikki K. The quality of these handmade polymer clay charms is superb. They are so amazingly cute and both very well made. It's also worth noting that the postage on these was incredibly speedy.

Emma is so lovely and included a gorgeous little card with my order as well. Also, everything was packaged so beautifully with the most gorgeous stickers on the envelope which I'm definitely peeling off and reusing!! Seriously, getting in from a long day at work to this beautiful package decorated with cute kawaii stickers was very much appreciated - Emma definitely puts a lot of effort into her packaging. Moreover, each item came packaged in an organza bag which was wrapped in cute tissue paper.

All in all, I really cannot recommend Emsy's Handcrafted Gifts enough. As well as clicking through that link on to her Etsy shop, you can also reach her at Facebook or Bigcartel. I will definitely be a regular at Emma's shop from now on - I really cannot fault her service!

Review: Sangems Etsy Shop

I admire individuals who set up their own business on Etsy. It's hard work building up a client base and marketing your products - so promoting small businesses is super important to me :)

With that being said, here's another Etsy Shop review! I came across Sandra's Etsy shop while looking for a new lanyard to wear my ID badge on as I actually like to co-ordinate my lanyard with outfits. I wanted a great quality neon pink one and Sangems stood out to me.

So, here it is! This is the satin pink lanyard in neon pink - and I absolutely love it. I'm super pleased with the quality of this lanyard and I will enjoy wearing it to work. The colour is so beautiful and it came packaged in this cute pink silky bag.

Sandra is so lovely too and communicates really efficiently which is great. I totally recommend that you check her shop out if you're looking for some great quality handmade jewellery.

Review: Maybelline Baby Lips

My lips are always sooo dry - a good lip balm is well needed! I have used Baby Lips before but decided to take advantage of 3 for 2 at Boots and try 3 varieties that I have not yet tried.

The first two that I tried were from the Dr Rescue range which provides medicated care with cooling menthol. So it helps to soothe your lips if they're sore and chapped. I got these in Coral Crave and Pink Me Up. These provide a little bit of colour as well as intensely moisturising my lips which is perfect. The colours are cute and give that 'your lips but better' kind of effect.

I love the cooling menthol element of these lip balms, it's so satisfying to apply it - it's almost as if you can feel it sinking into your lips and hydrating them! These are such a dream to use and I am incredibly impressed.

The third one that I picked out was the regular Baby Lips in Peach Kiss. I had yet to try a nude Baby Lips so I had to give this one a go. Like the other Baby Lips it is a dream to apply and moisturises my lips well. It gives my lips a sheer nude colour which looks cute!

All in all I'm really happy with these gorgeous lip balms. They are well worth the money and on 3 for 2 in Boots you can't complain!

Etsy Shop Friday! Gifted Goodies UK

I received my order from Gifted Goodies UK today. I ordered lots of hand knitted and crochet hair ties which are pretty unusual. I've actually never seen these before! If you love knitted items then you will loooove these. They're really bright and colourful too!

If you have lots of hair like me then I'd advise asking for the thicker elastics as the small ones are definitely more suitable to use at the end of braids rather than holding all of your hair up. Cudos to the lovely Michelle from Gifted Goodies UK - she must put loootsss of work in to knit all these lovely little bows. They're so cute and I'll enjoy wearing them in my hair. Michelle takes custom requests too so if you want a particular colour then you should go ahead and ask her, she will be able to co-ordinate the elastic colour as well.

Kikki K Haul

Just a quick post showing you guys what I ordered from Kikki K!

Everything that I ordered will be going in my Kikki K Small Lilac and Gold <3 I ordered a few items from their Cute range as they are absolutely adorable - I can't resist!

I got the Small Time Planner Refill from the Cute collection as well as the Cute Planner Dashboard Starter Kit, Washi Tapes and Top 5 Priority Planner :)

I also picked up the Small Time Planner Refill Pages in Cream. These include a few address pages and a 50 page notepad which slots nicely in the back pocket of my Kikki K and is so functional!

Andddd.. they popped it all in this cute drawstring bag in the bottom right photo which I will be using to store all my planner-related goodies.

Review: Red Dog Sews @ Etsy

I received my order from Red Dog Sews @ Etsy today and I thought I'd show you guys my lovely items! Jo, who runs the shop, makes some gorgeous crafty items including cute bunting, key fobs and lanyards. She is so lovely and will make your order in custom colours of your choice for no extra charge! Her prices are super reasonable too which is fab.

Here are my two beautiful items! How precious are they!? You really cannot buy things like this from high street shops - I love to use hand made items!

The purple swirl lanyard will be used to hold my ID badge for work. As I wear my badge everyday, I thought that I might as well have a cute lanyard attached to it. It feels very durable, the fabric is nice and thick so it will definitely hold up well!

The key fob is so adorable. This will look so cute attached to my keys, it's really delicate and pretty :) My actual order came packaged so beautifully too and postage was super quick.

You can find Red Dog Sews on Etsy or check out photos of her crafts on Facebook.

Review: Lotses of Foxes Etsy Shop

I received my package today from Lotses of Foxes @ Etsy and I'm soo impressed! All of the items are absolutely beautiful, as you will see from the photos. Zoe, who runs the shop is so lovely too.
I received these beautiful cloud hair clips which have cute little pearlescent rainbow coloured stars on them. These are absolutely adorable and feel incredibly durable.

I also received a large fabric hair bow with a hair clip attached to the back. The bow has cakes, ice cream sundaes and lollies all over it. How cute! I will enjoy wearing this when I have my hair half up :)

These lilac and white polka dot hair bows with little alligator clips at the back are so precious <3

The last two items are these beauties. The first is a skeleton hand hair clip, decorated with a pretty pink bow. This item is super unusual and so cute. It's both cute and creepy which is pretty darn cool. This hair clip feels so sturdy too :)

Finally, I received two brooches/badges that look like little bottle caps. The cool thing is that they have references to the film 'Labyrinth' on them... like how cool! I used to love that film as a kid so these really appealed to me and made me chuckle.

I would recommend Lotses of Foxes to anyone who loves kawaii items. The shipping was super quick and Zoe's prices are so reasonable.

Inside My Planner: Small Lilac and Gold Kikki K

I've recently moved out of my Patent Lavender Filofax Pocket and into my brand new Small Lilac and Gold Kikki K! All Etsy shops will be listed at the bottom of the post.

Here's what I see when I open her up! I made all the paperclips myself using ribbon and hair accessories which I cut up from H&M. I got the ribbon from The Works. I made the Daily Tasks card myself too! I just find it useful to see as soon as I open my planner as it reminds me of things that I must do every single day. The washi that I used is from a couple of different Etsy Shops as are the stickers. The strawberry magnetic page marker is from Paperchase.

So, I guess you could call the top left view my dashboard. I don't really use it for anything other than to look cute. The actual dashboard is from an Etsy Shop as are the kitty stickers and the glitter letters are from The Range. On the bottom left (i.e the back of my dashboard) the castle sticker is from the 99p store and the page marker is from an Etsy Shop.

On to the top right photo, the divider is from an Etsy Shop, the Rapunzel stickers are from the Disney Store. On to the bottom right, the card is a Project Life card. The heart sticky notes are from The Range and the kitty ones are from an Etsy Shop.

I love how my planner looks at the moment, it really cheers me up to look at it on a busy day! I have lots of supplies on the way though so it may well change!

Review: MUA Lip Switch Duo (Pink Candy)

Ahh, MUA. A brand beloved by both girls on a budget and girls not on a budget as they produce some pretty impressive makeup for very cheap prices.

I currently use this as an everyday lip product as I looove to wear baby pink lips - it really brightens up my day! Anyways, this product is basically a matte lipstick on one end and a shimmery lipgloss on the other! It's pretty convenient as you are able to switch up your look depending on how you're feeling that day or what the occasion is.

The lipstick itself is pretty creamy and not too drying as matte lipsticks have a tendency to be. The gloss is cute too and it looks nice worn over other lipsticks! I'm really loving this product actually, the only fault I have is that the colour makes my teeth look a little yellow as these pinks tend to. It's too cute for me to care though.

If you're thinking of trying this product - go for it! They're super inexpensive and really very good. The Hot Fushia colour is next on my list.

Review: Body Jewellery Shop

Welcome to my little review of some goodies that I got my hands on from BodyJewelleryShop.com! I'm always after cute jewellery to wear in my ear piercings. The Body Jewellery Shop has plenty of cute jewellery and I was pretty spoilt for choice.

I chose 1 pair of earrings for my lobes and 2 labret studs for my conch piercing. The pair of earrings that I chose was a pink glitter pair. I chose a pink interally threaded jewelled labret stud, and a clear interally threaded jewelled labret stud. They are all so reasonably priced, the pair of earrings costed just £1.99 and the labret studs were £3.49 each. Pretty amazing prices!

The labret stud fit into my piercing perfectly and it's very comfortable to wear, as are the earrings. They're amazing quality as well! The labrets are kinda small and tricky to insert but it's easy once you get the hang of it and they look so delicate and pretty so I definitely wouldn't change the size!

If you need some cute, good quality jewellery for your ear piercings then definitely head to BodyJewelleryShop.com. There's a great selection and the jewellery is as beautiful in person as it is online.

Review: SpookyEyes Coloured Contact Lenses

Coloured contact lenses are so fun and I've worn them a few times before. They're great for halloween or nights out - they really finish the outfit off. This review is on a lovely pair of Glimmer Black/Silver Contact Lenses from www.SpookyEyes.com.

SpookyEyes sell many different types of lenses including natural-looking lenses, crazy coloured lenses and halloween themed lenses. They also sell contact lens care kits at a very reasonable price which I find super useful as I can store and re-use my lenses whilst having some spare solution which helps me greatly when it comes to putting my lenses in.

The lenses came individually packaged in sterile solution so they're nice and clean which is what I like to see! Instructions regarding putting the lenses in are to be found on the inside of the box. I think it's fab that they provide instructions on how to insert contact lenses as many companies just assume that everyone knows how to insert them! I think that including these will help people stay safe and have a much more comfortable experience when putting the contacts in.

I actually accidentally ripped the part of the box with the instructions on when opening the box but I managed to piece it together and the steps are fairly comprehensive. I was impressed by how much detail they went into!

Here's a comparison between how the lenses look and my natural iris. It's quite hard to picture a glitter lens and it looks much more glimmery in person. I love the look that black lenses create and the glitter adds a whole new dimension to them!

The lenses themselves were fairly comfortable after a few minutes of wearing them. Initially they were uncomfortable but this is the same for all lenses as your eye is not used to having something inserted into it. They were easy to insert and did not dry up quickly like some lenses I have used. I simply took them from their packet, and put them straight in, no need to apply extra lens fluid. When I took them out, I applied a couple of drops of lens fluid to my finger so they stayed well lubricated and ready for a second use.

Overall, I would highly recommend www.SpookyEyes.com! They have an absolutely amazing selection of lenses and they are high quality and comfortable. These Glimmer Black/Silver Lenses are amazing and there's quite a few more I want to try including the super cute Kitty Lenses. SpookyEyes sell so many cool lenses, I mean who can turn down a pair of SAILOR MOON (!!!) lenses?!

Review: Aussie Dual Personality Hi-Hold and Hi-Shine Hairspray

Aussie make fantastic haircare products and as hairspray is a staple for me I decided to give their hairspray a go. It has the same lovely scent as all the Aussie products mixed with the usual hairspray scent

I'm impressed with this hairspray but as a medium hold spray. It does not provide the extra strong hold advertised on the bottle - it's ideal for daytime wear to work but wouldn't be enough to hold an up-do. The gorgeous scent makes up for its slightly lacking hold.

If you're looking for a hairspray which is medium hold and a dream to use, then go for this one. It does add some shine to your hair but this wears off after a couple of hours. Aussie hairspray isn't harsh on your hair whatsoever - your hair shall remain free from crunchiness. It also contains Sea Kelp extract which is believed to be beneficial for the hair and skin. This is pretty cool as I often use a little hairspray to set my makeup, it sounds gross but it leaves your makeup looking flawless for hours on a night out.

June Chit Chat

I've been in my new job for 2 weeks now and I'm really enjoying it. My job is to aid young people with additional support needs in college and work placements. It's been really varied so far, and I love how fulfilling the role is. Now me and my boyfriend are on a decent combined wage, we're looking to buy our first place soon - just waiting to find one in the perfect location!

I've been loving wearing bright pink lips recently - I don't even care that it's not the most flattering colour. Pink is cute and makes me happy so who cares! Also loving the warm weather at the moment, it's the perfect excuse to wear pink glittery jelly shoes.

Anyways, I'm off to go and make myself some dinner now. (Paella!)

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Dupe - Superdrug Brightening Hot Cloth Cleanser

I'm a fan of Liz Earle's Hot Cloth Cleanser but I was after something a bit cheaper. I also am not too keen on the medicinal scent of the product. So, I spotted this Hot Cloth Cleanser in Superdrug a couple of years ago actually and decided to give it a try.

This stuff is pretty amazing. It has a subtle floral scent and it's so so creamy due to the addition of cocoa butter. It moisturises the skin really well, the cocoa butter literally melts onto your skin when you rinse it off with warm water. The Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish also has a cocoa butter base so they really are very similar. Personally, I much prefer this one to Liz Earle C+P though and it would be a good option to try out a Hot Cloth Cleanser before shelling out quite a bit of money for one. If you have dry or sensitive skin, then you should try this product. It will do wonders for your skin - I have come back to it time and time again as it's so reliable.

Review: Mac Wash and Dry Bronzing Powder in Refined Golden

I've been so excited for this bronzer. I absolutely adore Mac bronzing powders, they're my go-to because you can rely upon them to never make you look orange.

As soon as I saw the photos of the Mac Wash and Dry Collection, I knew that I'd have to try one of the bronzers. I was debating for a while over the Matte Bronze shade or Refined Golden but I do like my bronzers with a bit of glitz so I went for Refined Golden.

Although this bronzer did not quite live up to my full expectations, it's a great product and I will get a lot of use out of it. The reason why it doesn't live up to my full expectations is because it isn't as pigmented as I had hoped for, and a lot of the glitter falls out during the journey from pan to brush to face. Despite this, I do love the colour and I will use it a lot. It's a beautiful product but you do need to swirl your brush around quite a bit to get a good amount on there.

I recommend this if you love shimmery, golden bronzers and want to try something from the Wash and Dry Collection. There are bronzers that are much more pigmented from Mac though so if pigmentation is a big issue for you, go for a different one.
